Sponge cake with lemon juice, lemon and orange zest with a few blueberries on top.
“A new era in Dawah”
iERA Sweden hosted a dinner for people involved in dawah and I had the honour of making the desserts. The cake is filled with homemade raspberry/strawberry jelly and homemade milk chocolate mousse. It’s covered in marzipan but the decorations are in sugarpaste. (Love the marbling effect I’ve managed to bring out with green and yellow, very spring-ish, very new era! Too much symbolic stuff in everything I make? Obviously.)
The cupcakes were a last minute solution because the “word on the street” said it would be more than 30 who planned to attend. So, to be fair I thought the cupcakes should have a similar taste to the cake in case anybody would be left without. As you can see, they’re filled with jelly and covered in chocolate mousse. Love my cupcake stand, did make time to decorate it with white satin ribbons!

“En ny era i dawah”!
iERA Sverige anordnade en middag för personer som på något sätt var involverade i dawah och jag fick äran att göra efterrätten. Tårtan är fylld med hemmagjord jordgubb/hallon gelé och mjölkchoklad mousse. Den är täckt i gren/gul marmorerad marsipan men dekorationerna är i sockerpasta. Väldig symbolik i det hela med referenser till våren, en ny era..
Cupcakesen var en sista minuten idé för att det verkade som om det skulle vara fler än 30 personer som planerade att komma så för att vara rättvis ville jag att de skulle smaka ungefär likadant. Så de är fyllda med gelé och spritsade med chokladmousse. Hann dekorera mitt nya, fina ställ med vita satinband.
